RETURN TO SCHOOL - TERM 3, 2020 - IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Dear Families, We look forward to welcoming your child back to school tomorrow. I am writing to inform you of the drop off and pick up arrangements that will be in place for Term 3. These changes have been brought about by the State Government’s removal of restrictions in place due to COVID-19.
Student Drop Off Student drop off will return to normal and parents are reminded to try and avoid contact with other people where possible. Parents of children in Year 1 to Year 6 can continue to drop their child off using the Kiss and Ride on Edale Way or by bringing them into the school via the Majella Road gate.
Student Safety. To support the safety of our children the gates will now be closed each morning at 8.40am. This is to make sure the class roll is taken accurately and so that all students arriving late are signed in through the front office. If you are still inside the school after 8.40am, please exit through the front office. Kindy Drop Off Parents must drop off their child inside the classroom and are welcome to engage with them in an activity. Please make sure you leave promptly at 8.40am. Pre-Primary Drop Off Parents must drop off their child at the classroom and are welcome to enter and engage with them in an activity. Please make sure you leave promptly at 8.40am. Year 1 to Year 6 Drop Off Parents are able to drop their child at the classroom and where necessary, may enter the room. Please make sure you leave promptly at 8.40am. Student Pick Up Student pick will return to normal, but again, parents are reminded to try and avoid contact with other people where possible. Kindy Pick Up Parents must collect their child from the Kindy room. Pre-Primary Pick Up Parents must collect their child from the Pre-Primary room. Year 1 to Year 6 Pick Up Parents can collect their child from either the Kiss and Ride on Edale way, from the classroom door once the siren has sounded, or at the Majella Road Gates. Further Information Please note the following · We are always trying to maintain a sense of calm at the start of each day. · Please ensure you are not disrupting the learning process in the classrooms at drop off and pick up times. · Your child has been able to display strong independence skills during Term 1 and Term 2 and it is important that they continue to do things for themselves. · If you need to communicate with a teacher, it is important that you arrange a meeting with them. You can also communicate with them via Seesaw, email or over the telephone. Thank you for your continued support as we have made many necessary changes. Kind Regards, Mr. Mitchell Bristow Principal
